Faculty

Sherry L. Barnard, Artistic Director/Choreographer, attended Jordan College of Music, special instruction division of Butler University, Indianapolis, and the University of Louisvillle. She continued her training in New York with such notables as David Howard (a favorite teacher of American Ballet Theatre), Finis Jhung, Bob Audy, Luigi, and Phil Black, and received her teaching certification through DANCE EDUCATORS OF AMERICA, an international organization of teachers.

Ms. Sherry has extensive experience in musical theatre having danced in or choreographed numerous musicals in dinner theatres in the tri-state area such as Beef ‘N’ Boards Dinner Theatre, The Upstairs Dinner Theatre, La Comedia Dinner Theatre. In addition, she has performed roles in many of the major ballets such as “The Sleeping Beauty”, “The Firebird”, “Swan Lake”, and “The Nutcracker”.

No stranger to local theatre, she has choreographed shows for The Youth Theatre of Hardin County, Hardin Co. Playhouse, the Pro/Am Community Theatre at The PAC, and has proven her strong commitment to developing the arts in the schools by choreographing musicals for Elizabethtown High School, Meade Co. High School, Nelson Co. High School, Bardstown High School, and John Hardin High School, not to mention working with area choral departments on all grade levels.

She has taught dance at Elizabethtown Community College, choreographed for Actor/s Theatre of Louisville, University of Louisville, University of KY, and Morehead State University, as well as the Louisville Orchestra and the Kentucky Opera. She has performed with Stephen Foster Story for 40 years (including tours to Japan in 1985 and 1997) and is currently the show’s choreographer. Ms. Sherry is the Artistic Director of The Dance Centre’s Arts Outreach Performing Dance Ensmble.

Keith Glenn received his training from the Houston Ballet Academy, Boston Ballet and the Paul Taylor Dance Co. He danced with the Houston Ballet for two seasons, was principal dancer with the Minnesota Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, guest principal dancer with Metropolitan Ballet, and was a principal soloist with the Louisville Ballet.

Amber Steff is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts degree with concentration in dance and musical theatre. Amber has danced in productions produced by WKU Dance Company, Dance Images, and Dance Arts, and has taught for Bowling Green/Warren County Community Education . Amber specializes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Pointe, but also has experience teaching Ballroom, Swing, Native American, East Indian, Flamenco.

An experienced performer, Amber’s performance credits include Stephen Foster ~ The Musical, Grease, Sound of Music, Big River, Annie, Unto Thes Hills, The Wizard of Oz, Children of Eden, Guys and Dolls, to name a few. Choreography credits include, but are not limited to, Ragtime, An Evening of Dance, The Nutcracker, Black Box, Civil War and many productions for local high schools. In addition, she has worked with the Chicago Festival Ballet, Ballet Jorgen, Moscow Ballet, Radio City Rockettes, and Full Radius Dance.
