Students are encouraged to participate in our Spring Production (recital). This is NOT mandatory, however, a commitment is a commitment. Attendance at Dress Rehearsal is MANDATORY. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please check your personal calendars carefully ~ our production is always the third week in May. You should keep this in mind when scheduling other events such as piano recitals, weddings, etc. Our productions are held at The Hardin Co. Performing Arts Centre at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.

Recital costume orders will be placed on January 28, 2011. For your convenience, monthly costume payments may be made in the Fall semester to help avoid the after Christmas money crunch. We cannot place any costume orders without pre-payment. We make a concerted effort to keep costs down and to recycle costumes as much as possible and try to choose costumes with several accessories to s-t-r-e-t-c-h your dollar. It has become increasingly difficult to find things that are both age appropriate and flattering for everyone, as dancers come in all shapes and sizes, however, please be assured that every effort is made to ensure the best possible fit and design is found for everyone. PLEASE REMEMBER, ONCE COSTUMES ARE ORDERED AND PROCESSED, WE CANNOT GET ANY REFUNDS FROM THE COSTUME COMPANIES. ALL ORDERS ARE FINAL.

The Nutcracker

Ballet students age six and up with at least one (1) year minimum training are invited to participate in our annual production of The Nutcracker. Roles are assigned shortly after the Fall semester begins and rehearsals begin the first week of September. Most rehearsals for the younger dancers are on Fridays and Saturdays. We offer a staggered rehearsal schedule in order not to monopolize everyone’s weekends. We furnish costumes and charge a nominal rental fee of $10.00 per costume to help defray cleaning costs.

All parents are required to help with some aspect of the Ballet - NO EXCEPTIONS. There are several user-friendly committees available to choose from. Help is always needed and no contribution of time and effort is ever too small.

All rehearsals are held at The Dance Centre until the week of the production. Dress Rehearsals and all performances are held at The Hardin Co. Performing Arts Centre at John Hardin High School on the third (3rd) weekend in December.
